How often do you pamper yourself?
Daily?
Weekly?
Monthly?
Never?
Do you go somewhere to get pampered? Do it at home? Does it cost you a fortune?
I know for me, I don't "pamper" myself with massages, lotions, oils, and other beauty regimes at all. A little because I'm not big on people touching me, some because I'm not quite sure what they're using on my body, but mainly...to be honest, it's because of the costs. I am a savvy shopper and like to get things on sale and cheap. I don't mean I like to get poor products. It means, I shop around and get the best products possible for myself. I like to be healthy and want my body treated the same way.
I found the perfect book for those of you that are the same way!
Lemons are a Girl's Best Friend by Janet Hayward includes sixty superfood recipes (30 different superfoods) to look AND feel your very best. If you've heard of superfoods, but aren't exactly sure what they are, American Heart Association said, they "are good for your heart and your overall health when incorporated into a heart-healthy diet that's balanced in lean protein, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat milk and dairy products". There really isn't a full list of superfoods anywhere, but many are spoken of through various sites if you search for them.
Hayward included foods such as: avocado, mango, peaches, blueberry, mint, seaweed, etc. in this book.
I love the way the book is organized! There is a page which has the name of the superfood, followed by the properties of the food. The page next to it is an illustration/drawing. When you flip the page, it has a recipe that is good for your inside (something you can eat) and then the following page has a recipe that is good for your outside (a beauty treatment). Majority of the recipes are five ingredients or less, which I love I enjoy cooking, but the fewer ingredients a recipe has, the better chance of me trying it again.
I can't wait to get started on making some of these recipes, especially the beauty treatment ones! I can guarantee they're going to smell good. I'll definitely share with friends and family when I start cooking.
I hope you check out a little about Hayward and this book here and pre-order one for yourself (and even a loved one). It's nice and hardback and bound so will last you through all your cooking adventures. Let me know what you end up making!

New York Street Style
New York Street Style is an adult coloring book by Zoe de las Cases I was given the opportunity to review by Blogging for Books. The covers of the book are blueish-purple color with pink drawing on them. Inside, the drawings are all done in black. This book shows you the city that never sleeps. It goes through this fashion industry with its drawings. There’s isn’t a written story as some coloring books have. There are drawings of outfits, accessories, the city life, skylines of the city, and more for you to spend time coloring. The book is bind together nicely, so pages won’t be falling out as you open the book to spend time on your masterpiece.
