I will admit to you all that I am a collector - no, probably could say an extreme hoarder of Bibles. I love them! I believe they are all so beautiful in their own ways and they awe me so much. They are crafted so beautifully to tell such amazing stories to us. I love children’s Bibles when they are made well. When they are able to help the young really learn the true words of God. I love seeking out the illustrations in many of these Bibles too, because ultimately, when you’re young, that’s what helps you be able to comprehend stories. I love reading different translations/versions of the Bible as well. It’s interesting to see the differences between English Standard Version (ESV), King James Version (KJV), Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), etc. because they all have different influences on them. Some Bibles I have are made for note-taking, journaling, pocket-sized, larger-print, etc. There are so many options of Bibles out there - there is something for everyone!

I had the pleasure of receiving the ESV Illuminated Bible which includes over 500 hand-lettered gold ink illustrations by the renowned artist, Dana Tanamachi (tanamachistudio.com). There are 64 full-page book opener illustrations, 50 full-page verse illustrations, 250+ hand-lettered margin verses, and 110+ other illustrations throughout the Bible.

The Bible is printed on a beautiful cream-colored paper. The 9-point black lexicon text is single-column with wide margins, allowing for space to add your own notes, drawings, prayers, etc. This Bible definitely allows space for you to be creative within the Word of God. This Bible is so nice sewn together and comes in a permanent dark blue slipcase.

God’s Big Plans for Me Storybook Bible is based on the New York Times Bestseller of The Purpose Driven Life by Pastor Rick Warren.  It illustrates 40 foundational principles (made into 40 days) which are written in a child-friendly language. There is a chronological approach to the book along with many illustrations that are sure to engage children - the illustrations bring the stories to life!  Each Bible story is introduced with a theme which aligns his principles. The stories are closed with a thought targeted toward early readers. 
This storybook is wonderful for early readers as well as something you can share with the whole family. It is very nicely put together in which you can follow along each day.
